"I will not drive past anymore but make this a regular stop"
Myself and my wife and daughter went to The Tanglewood after a day out in Whitby. I have driven past this pub for years wondering what it is like inside. Well now I know, I will not drive past anymore but make this a regular stop. The staff were welcoming and the food was fantastic. The place has a warm feel about it. Thanks and see you next time I drive by.

"The Rhubarb crumble was the best ever"
We stopped for lunch with no knowledge of what Tanglewood offered on the menu. We were delighted by our choice. The food was lovely - especially the Yorkshire pudding which we were looking for - the servings generous, and the food served hot on warm plates. The pork could have been a little more tender but the positives outweighed that. We would not normally have dessert especially at lunch but when we saw what others were getting we succumbed and were well pleased we did! The rhubarb crumble was the best ever. Staff were friendly and attentive. It's a long way to come back but if we would we could.

"Thank you for a wonderful meal"
I just wanted to let you know that my visit last Friday was absolutely fantastic. I visited your establishment purely by accident on my way home from Whitby, and was thoroughly glad I did. The ambiance is truly original, with posters and photos of celebrities and entertainers I remember from my youth plastering just about every wall (including the, ahem, facilities). The service was excellent. Not pushy or standoffish, just as I like it. But the food, cooked to perfection and very tasty, I had the pie and was very glad I did. While I can't imagine me making the journey from Spain all the way to your establishment on a regular basis, I can imagine adding it to the places to visit on my next stop over. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

"Don't drive by this great place to eat"
I stopped off for a business meeting at the Tanglewood on a very busy evening on the A64. I was greeted by smiling and friendly staff who served us all very promptly and professionally. The food (I had chicken with salad etc) was very good. My colleagues chose different things from the menu and like me were well satisfied. All in all it was a very enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings. The attention to detail was very good and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really warm and friendly. I will certainly be breaking my journey there again. Great place and the loos were incredibly clean and well kept. 5 star.

"Fantastic All round experience"
We are staying in a lodge near York and popped into the tanglewood for a bite to eat. The food was excellent and very well presented, the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The overall experience was fantastic and we will definately eat there again if we are in the area.

"Loved reading all the memorabilia on the walls"
We were staying in Skelton recently and visited your restaurant a couple of times. How lucky were we that we happened to pass by. The food was excellent and the staff so helpful and friendly. Loved reading all the memorabilia on the walls - so interesting. Thanks again for a wonderful experience and if we are ever in your area again we will be back.
